Nike again is paying homage to some of its best releases of the late nineties, the Nike Air Zoom Alpha provides all the retro looks you could ever need. A white leather toe cap is layered over a binary blue mesh which runs onto the side panels, with a classic carotene embroidered swoosh. Additionally the side features a blue and white waved mudguard running up and around the collar. The lacing unit also features waved leather eyelets reminiscent of the Nike Internationalist. This summer ready colour palette sits atop a bulky white midsole, which is instantly recognisable thanks to the fame of the Spiridon recently although the Zoom Alpha is the father of this design.

Originally released in 1996, the Air Zoom Alpha was at the precipice of design at the time thanks to the four zoom pods between the outsole and midsole which provided a unique anatomic support system which paved the way for future generations of sneakers. This 2019 release is a 1:1 replica, and in turn still looks and feels as good as the original.
